This is Aubrey's salamander named Tiny. He might look small in the picture but he's really longer than my hand. He is also really strong (for a salamander). He is not wet or slimy just rough.
This is Tiny's terrarium. He has a rock and some bark to hide under. Aubrey feeds him worms for every meal.
For Easter we got five ducks from our grandmother. At first they were inside but our parents said they stunk to much so they put them outside in the doghouse.
They all like to swim and four are Black Mallard females and one we aren't certain about yet.
We give them poultry starter grower feed and Cheerios for treats.
Aubrey and I got rabbits for Easter last year. Mine died in a few days so we were able to get it replaced and then our grandmother bought one for Andrew too. Last summer we had some very hot days in the 100's and two rabbits died of heat stroke. Aubrey's is the only one remaining. Her name is Coconut.
This is the hutch that our dad built when we all had rabbits. Now it all goes to Coconut.
This is Smokey the cat that has caught three mice, a mole, a chipmunk and a rabbit and that's only the stuff we've seen.
This is Jojo the cat that we thought was to scared to catch anything but the other day she caught a lizard.
This is Bandy our fourteen year old dog that my parents have had since she was a puppy. She has a tumor and she is almost deaf and she thinks she's young so she tries to catch the cats but she can't.
Aubrey and I got fifty chicks about a week ago from 4-H.
They all (except one) are Barred Rock chickens.
We have only named two, the first one is Aubrey's Silkie chicken named Sunny (the one below is not Sunny).
And this one is named Puff, she's mine and she has a yellow face.
We have a lot of pets and they take some work (for example today I was changing the chick's water and I spilled a whole gallon all over the kitchen floor) but in the end they are really fun to have.
Now to build a coop!
